In our latest episode, we discuss our July book of the month, Crushing It!: How Great Entrepreneurs Build Their Business and Influence-and How You Can, Too by Gary Vaynerchuk. Crushing It! comes nine years after Gary Vee’s book Crush It!: Why NOW Is the Time to Cash In on Your Passion and dives deeper into how you can become an entrepreneur and influencer in today’s world.
About Crushing It!
In the first part of the book, Vaynerchuk covers the eight essentials to building a brand and “crushing it” – intent, authenticity, passion, patience, speed, work ethic, ability to track consumer attention and master social platforms, and content. The biggest part being content, where he devotes an entire chapter to it. In the second part, he dissects each social media platform and gives readers examples of how to use them to their advantage. Throughout the entire book, inspiring stories are shared from other business owners who are making it big today after they read Vaynerchuk’s first book, Crush It!.

Shaunae – I devoured Crushing It! within a day. After reading it, I felt so inspired and energized. Gary Vee just has a way of pumping you up. He doesn’t believe in excuses and pushes you to take ownership of your life and your legacy. He makes me want to do great things with my life and believes that we all can achieve success if we just put the work in.
Sarah – Gary is wonderful about telling you like it is and a great example of caring for people in entrepreneurship. That is something I appreciate in following along with his narrative. While reading *Crushing It!* I definitely realized some excuses I’ve had that I didn’t even know I was making. It makes me want to jump in and do all the things!
